It’s easy to forget the support of friends and family when in the middle of grief. It’s really overwhelming and consuming for people at times. Don’t forget your support network! There are people around you who can provide care and comfort on some levels. Maybe it’s a meal you don’t have to cook. Maybe it’s a hug or a shoulder to cry on. Tap into your support and I hope you find encouragement and peace in the midst of your storm.
Sometimes it helps to have some time of reflection and spend time alone to gather your thoughts and express emotions in a safe and private space. Nothing helps better for me than being in nature. Getting outside and experiencing the warm sun, the beautiful creation. It’s a reminder of the beauty of life and sometimes that can help us remember the good memories linked to our losses. Many people struggle with grief and loss for a multitude of reasons. Grief looks different for everyone and comes with several difficult emotions. Loss is not something people can just get over. A loss of any kind is always a loss. There is no way around a storm, we have to go through it. Grief is much the same. What we can learn is how to cope with the loss and move forward in life.
